IDEA & CONCEPT
This project is made based on a design brief from Karakter. Karakter is a clinic for children with Autism spectrum disorder. Design Brief: ‘‘Exploring stress detection and management with an everyday object for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.’’ Breathe-a-Bear focusses on the stress management side of this bief. Portfolio Function: Breathe-a-Bear is a stuffed animal that will simulate a breathing motion by expanding and shrinking at a relaxed human breathing rate, once the user squeezes one of its paws. The breathing happens trough a unique personaly designed mechanism. Breatha-Bear is designed to be sturdy and waterproof based on the targetgroup.
